Now the final installment in my specialty Chistmas card trek. This one is for my pal Kevin (DiseasedWits) who I went to high school with. He has the disease of being interested in attractive ladies, can't say I blame him, I seem to have a similiar ailment.

Almost Christmas

As promised, here is the scan I did of the card that I mailed off to my cousin Johnny Lauck.
Years back he owned a comic book store here in KALAMAZOO, and he hired some of us artists to make comic books for him. He's an awesome person and this is an ongoing homage to his most infamous character: CAPTAIN ALMOST !

Y'see, Captain Almost can...
Almost catch the bank robber
Almost rescue the kitty in a tree
Almost put out the tire dump fire
Almost save the day

He currently runs a roleplaying figurines ecompany called Mega Miniatures (I think...)

Blue

This is just a quickie photoshop & mouse experiment. I wanted to try paint particles ( a la Georges Seurat : A SUNDAY ON LA GRANDE JATTE- 1884) to create texture for ice and snow. What better to use as a test subject than a 'Blue' sno cone.

The cone itself was just a filter I've wanted to fool around with. Nothing fancy here, only my clumsy attempts to mess around with photoshop.

That and a few doses of Gaussian blur and the burn tool...
