I got to your site from your post on Mishka's when you wrote about sculpting the drawing--and that it's in there and you just have to find it. It's weird that I just discovered that and wrote about it on my blog tonight and had never heard anyone talk about it before. Your stone drawing is very powerful and beautifully done. It reminds me of an ee cummings poem that has the words "silence of stone" in it.
It's been quite a while since I've used an airbrush, ValGalArt, I think I still have the compressor and gun around here someplace. Probably in a drawer somewhere... :-D
I'm very happy that my words and observations have touched someone, JanaBouc. I've always noticed that my approach to art has involved 'shaping' the vivid thought and kinda 'chipping' away the excess pencil lines as I work. I'm not a Xerox machine so the end result is never perfect (thank goodness) and is guaranteed to be an original effort.

Bathed in beauty. A wonderful illustration. Right now is the time that we see more of this type of nature exploding "quietly" all through the forest.
Nice one, Steve!
I just luv the fall, Ginger. It's spooky and kooky and melancholy all in one. Great time to explore !

Good choice! I agree-- the mushrooms are one of my favorite things in the woods. So much color and pattern, rising from decay!
Nice choice!
Wonderful, quietly observed detail.

If you get a chance, see the animation "Das Rad" (The Rocks) to see just how chatty nature can be... at it's own speed
I took some photos of similar subjects last spring. Quiet decay....nice choice of subject and well drawn.
Really, really lovely. It's so simple yet there's so much to look at.
