Illustration Friday 'Heroes'

This time I wanted color again for Illustration Friday. The subject this week is 'Heroes', so I decided to have some fun, no black and white, no somber approach, like last week. Once again layers were vitally important and I used the old lens flare filter ( its faint, look close and you might see it ). The eraser tool was used extensively to give it a lil' boost between layers, I went the extra mile and added some highlights to the costume.
I'm gonna keep this short, honest !

Here ya go, kinda explains itself, you can feel safe now.

Talk about speedy ! You just zipped here like a lightning bolt ! I barely had time to get settled before you stopped by for a visit. Come on in, stay awhile. Fart if you want, just fan it that away...

Hi Steve, Great illo, has a very classic 60's comic book look, you did it well and of course the caption absolutely pulls it all together!! Great!

Help me crack a window, Miss Daze ! It'll air out pretty soon. Come back when you regain your composure.

I rilly dig those old comic book styles. They helped shape me. I kinda figured the caption need to be done. I calls 'em as I sees 'em, Jacquelynn.

BTW, I need all the super defense I can get, especially if it involves COMIC CHIC !!!
:-D

Heck, I wish I had that hair and those hips ! I've got a round bottom, but it doesn't quite compare to hers. Y'know Bertha, I think it's the super-costume that makes the difference. It sorta magically shapes yer body to make you look firm.
I need one of those suits...

very cool steve...somehow reminds me of that old eighties movie where the two dorky suburban boys "make" a hot babe to help them with the girls...mad science or something...so bad with names!
cheers

More like a nerd's dream and where exactly is she going to put her pocket protector? I mean she needs a pocket protector if she's going to protect nerds right? And she's really good. If I ever stop changing my website I might have time to try some digial stuff. Oh and you can scratch in private just not in public, remember what you mom said.

At 1:09 PM, Blogger steve said...

You're preaching to the choir, Tony ! We're all equal under her watchful eye. Bullies beware !!!
:-D

At 1:12 PM, Blogger steve said...

You're talkin' about 'Weird Science' Kerry. I remember that movie, she was kinda kewl looking. Comic Chic will protect you as well, despite your memory failure !
:-D

At 1:16 PM, Blogger steve said...

Her pocket protector is in a hip pocket next to her Bully Beating Brush. Thanx for the compliment, Janey ! Photoshop is addicting and fun, even though it's a lotta work. It eats your time like it was popcorn.

My mom always would say ' see ya later, alligator '
And I would respond with ' in a while, crocodile'

:-D

Her sidekick is NEWSPRINT GRRRRL ! Still quite young, but very precocious and powerful, this delightful duo fight injustice, unpleasantness, and hangnails.
As for me ? I have always been and always will be a sorcerer(ess). It's dat magik deep down in mah soul, Kerry. Blessed be...

Although shocking and blatant sexploitation - very well executed. Oh, and some nerds don't need defending :)

At 12:34 PM, Blogger Aravis said...

But you've drawn her with her eyes closed, and I can't help but feel that in the next frame she would be doing a face-plant into the side of a building! *LOL*

Still, an excellent rendering of a hero we can all get behind.

Er, as long as the farting has stopped...

At 1:05 PM, Blogger Baroness Von Wolfengeist said...

Hee hee, AravisArwen, good one.

Nicely rendered superhero, without a doubt, Steve you are loaded with talent. But if she is propelled by gas, she may be more trouble than she is worth. And who shall protect us from the flatulence of nerds?

Steven, time to get out your poisonpencil? If so, please don't use the "f" word....

At 2:09 PM, Blogger steve said...

Thanx Joan, for the double compliment !
:-)

At 2:10 PM, Blogger steve said...

Right your are, Anonymous ! I knew you had a super cape somewhere...
:-)

At 2:15 PM, Blogger steve said...

Ho ho ho ! That would be funny to see, Aravisarwen ! Splat ! Not to mention the damage to the building. The farting didn't come from Comic Chic, but from her adversary: THE RUMP !
I hope i don't have ta give you a drawing of that...
:-D

At 2:19 PM, Blogger steve said...

Thanx for the thumbs up, Miss Daze ! But she flies by using anti-gravitons, not gas. The gas is used by THE RUMP, supervillain of supersmells.

Ahhhh ! Smell that 'Dairy Air'...
:-D

hiya kiddo...i need your sage advice, and that of anyone else who sees this post!
my cousin, whom i never speak to, who can be very difficult, is getting married. her mother,(my godmother) who was not invited to the wedding, decides to throw her a shower. now what the hell do i get a girl that's good enough that we (the family)doesn't hear the end of it (cuz i'm the only one going) yet not so pricey that i'm begrudging things completely?!
yes, this seems petty but in family politics it's actually a very sensitive matter (FOR GOD"S SAKE!)
i just don't have the energy right now to get to the right solution to all of this stupid b.s.
any ideas?
cheers,
kerry
