But what is he scared of? Cute and it has a lot of pathos!

This is one of the immensly elusive American mythic creatures: A Hidebehind.
They are named as such due to the fact that they always try to hide-behind anyone who might see them.
I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of this one by hiding myself in the shadows and patiently waiting.

At least he's (it's) thinking. But he does look too cute to be a coward, just a timid little soul with very sad eyes.

It has been a long time since I've read the funny papers, but this reminds me of a comic strip called BC something or just BC. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, Steve. It had these furballs with legs that were cavemen. Anyway, that is what this little critter reminds me of, only cuter.

It's in their nature, Janey. It's the thrill of barely avoiding being caught that sustains them. Like Ian T. said, it's all in gathering the pathos !

Oh, you're talking about Grog ! Grog is a retro caveman in the BC comic strip, like you said Miss Daze. His name is based on his favorite word: GROG !!!
These lil' guys are kinda cute, in a dust bunny kinda way...
