Alternate Friday 'Exuberance'

James Mathias has once again challenged us oddballs to throw off the shackles of mundanity and revel in the sweet nectar of silliness. So here is my retort to his offering...'Exuberance'
What could be more Exuberant than a giggling Myna Byrd ?
Very few things indeed...

Nice birdy. I can hear it cackling from here.

OT: Are you familiar with the manga series Fist of the North Star?

I bought the animated cartoon on video years back, Miss Daze. I'm a lil' fuzzy on it now, I think it involved a DragonBall Z type fighter storyline about some dude who had to train and get stronger in a postapopalyptic setting. His purpose was to rescue his sister or some other lady from a bad guy.

Why do you ask ?

Thanx for the uplifting compliments, Indigo ! Don't worry about those claws, they are made of foam rubber.
:-D

I ask because I ordered a CD a while back and they sent me this "Fist of the North Star" instead. Not even close to what I ordered and had never heard of it before. I never did get around to returning it and thought it looked like something you might like. It is only one part of series - vol. 4 - but thought if you wanted it, I'd send it to you.

It's kind of a forgettable cartoon, I agree Miss Daze. Too bad they didn't send you something cool like 'Dragonslayer' or 'My Neighbor Totoro' or 'Nightbreed'.
If it was a dvd of one of those I would jump at the offer, but I guess the best thing to do is for you to try Ebay-ing it.
I rilly appreciate the offer, * HUGS * !

Have you seen Clive Barkers 'Nightbreed' ? If you haven't, it's an awesome movie ! One of my favorites, right up there with Evil Dead II, Aliens, Mystery Science Theater 3000 This Island Earth, and Private Eyes. Plus the Monty Python episodes ! And classic Tom and Jerry cartoons.
I'd better shut up and stop wasting your time, Belle Jest, you got me started on a fun tangent there...

:-D

LOL, Anonymous ! Times 3 ! :-D

I've heard that 'Bonzer' means Great, worthy of praise. And that 'If it was raining palaces, he'd get hit on the head by the dunny door' means someone has bad luck.
My lil' bit of Oz trivia that is probably old news to you.
:-)

Glad you approve of my silliness...

Hope you didn't learn this particular Oz trivia because a bonza dunny door hit you on the head Steve. Duck ...

Woops you need to clean up after me there Steve :) Just don't put two pink and glowing things in front of me .... I HATE PINK!

(Exuberant giggling)

At 7:48 PM, Blogger steve said...

Explain the glowing aspect of the pink aversion, Anonymous...

At 8:07 PM, Blogger Anonymous said...

That aspect can be described as keeping away viruses. Am I a virus Steve?

At 9:44 PM, Blogger steve said...

If you were, you would be microscopic. And I don't think your husband would like that...
:-D

No not microscopic (Husband does great sigh of relief). I hereby remain Anonymous. Glad I'm not a virus Steve :D
