Dryad
Here she is, 'FRESH' as the morning dew itself, Kalamazoo's very own DEW DROP DRYAD. She's quicksilver fast, and slippery as a minnow. Her decoration of dewy morning spider webs are magnificent. And her kisses are sweet and cool (not to mention a lil' bit sloppy).
She didn't stop by for long because her workload is rather demanding, but she posed long enough for me to get this image made of her in Photoshop, no sketching prior to this was done (no time!).
She's a darling lil' thing with a quick mind and a taste for Earl Gray Tea and shaved ice. Don't worry about the tea getting cold nor the ice melting before she gets there, odds are...she's already visited you and is busy checking you off her magical list.
Kalamazoo is Kewl...

Hey, I really love your blog! I am definitly going to bookmark your blog!
I have a ##work at home## Web site. It pretty much covers ##work at home## related stuff.
Come and check it out if you get time:-}
Love the look you have on the dryad, and the water drops are just perfect.
i think i'll dream of the morning dew....
you like beetle isn't it?
well done steve!
To think I must have missed her this morning. I did see the dew on the sunflowers, and found a lazy bee drinking up the early morning nectar. She left me a lovely dewy necklace on the holly bush, and I can see that she passed by the Rose of Sharon on her way west.
I am so happy to finally see what she looks like!
Ooooh is that fresh Beetlejuice? Don't like sloppy kisses, but would love Dew Drop Dryad to drop in for one of my garden tea parties :)
Thanx, jacquelynn! This one turned out to be pretty nice. See ya next week !
Hiya, Isay ! Hope you have sweet dreams on the next misty morning. I also liked the ladybug on the leaf !
:-)
Ya gotta look rilly quick to catch a glance of her, Ginger! She moves very fast and is pretty quiet.
I shouldn't rilly say this, but sometimes she slips and falls on her fanny due to the wet surfaces. She'll laugh just as hard as you if you see this happen!
I you are fast enough, you can catch this pratfall on camera ( I think she does it on purpose, just for a giggle...)
:-D
Ooooooo ! I luv Beetlejuice, Anonymous! It's one of my favorite movies of all time ! Brilliant storyline and incredible music. Now I wanna see it again!
Sloppy kisses can be fun if done properly! The Dew Drop Dryad is a master of the sloppy kiss. I'll pass along the invitation to her about your Garden Tea Parties, but be warned...she might bring a friend or two.
Like the Doo Doo Dunnie, the Chipped Cup Elf, the Bronx Cheer Bogie, and the ever doubtable...Aftertaste Slaugh. ( The Dew Drop Dryad has a powerful sense of humor...)
:-D
Hey Steve, I had to go back and look at those due drops again!
Beautiful liquid feeling...love the drops falling from the leaves and her fluid blue skin.
Steve, you have created a beautiful IF. I love the colors and that little beetle.
Time for a tea party with her...very cool!
I adore ladybugs. Your Dryad is a wee bit damp but enchanting none the less. Where is her chocolate bar? Love you, Steve! };-}
Ahh the morning dew makes everything fresh and clean. She looks pretty cool and the lady bug too.
The Dew Drop Dryad is a true artist of liquid sculpture, Joe.
:-)
Hi Carla! The Dew Drop Dryad definitely has a quicksilver type of watery vibe.
:-)
If there is gonna be a Tea Party, Lyn, then we had better invite that Ladybug as well as the Dew Drop Dryad !
:-D
Ladybugs are very kewl, Miss Daze. The Dew Drop Dryad promised to pick up the chocolate bar later, after she finished her rounds. (I bought her a 3 Muskateers bar cause those taste best when you put them in the refrigerator...)
:-D
Some early mornings are just magical, aren't they Toni Kelly ! Makes me want to get up early...then again...maybe not.
( I'm a night-owl )
=^_^=
I love the colors in this one!
Groovy flowing/ blurred effect, as if she's moving quicker than the human brain can comprehend.
Howdy Aravis ! Glad you liked it!
:-)
You have a sharp eye, Tony! I knew I could count on you to see what I was trying to convey!
